MINI ULTA HAUL!!!!! 8/31/2014

Hey pretty people so today I went to one of my favorite places EVER!!!! Ulta!!!! Now I love ulta because they have high end and drug store products! So I'll go over what I got and what I spent! But basically I got a ton of NYX stuff again because they were sold out of benefit cosmetics hoola bronzer that I wanted to try.  And they didn't carry they Anastasia contour kit I wanted to purchase. So that's to be continued.

Overview:
Real techniques stippling brush
Nyx falsies
NyxHD powder
NYX butter gloss
NYX blotting Powder
NYX blush
And NYX HD concealer

Real techniques stippling brush

I decided to try this out. I was in need of a new one and I was really pleased with the last RT brush I purchased. This brush cost 9.99 before tax! I hope to purchase more of their brushes in the future

Nyx blotting and setting powder

I got this in the shade BLP02 light-medium I plan on using this to set my under eyes. We'll see. I'm not sure about the color but I'm hopeful! Cost: $11.99

Nyx falsies

Falsies are a girls best friend they make your photos look better your eyes look bigger and long luscious lashes are always in style. I've never used NYX lashes before but these look similar to the Kiss KP001 lashes that I've recently been obsessed with. Cost: 3.49

Nyx butter gloss

I've heard nothing but incredible things about this gloss. This is in shade- peaches and cream. I have other NYX lip sticks but this is a gloss I tried it on and it feels amazing on your lips. Super hydrating and it is highly pigmented so you actually get a color! I'll post some selfies with it on! Cost: $4.99

Nyx HD finishing powder

A finishing powder is going to be great for setting everything on your face. It doesn't have a color all it does is keep everything I place and allow you make up to really look flawless. Cost: $9.99

Nyx HD concealer

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this concealer. It's wear and coverage is incredible. The only issue I've had is how quickly I go through it. YIKES but it only cost $4.99 so I'm not complaining!!! So I just had to buy more

Last but not least NYX blush

this is in the color desert rose. I have one in apricot and I LOVE it. I wanted to get something more rosy and deep for the fall! Which I cannot wait for! Fall makeup is my favorite! Cost: $5.99

That brought my total to $54.83 BUT WAIT! I'm totally a bargain shopper and starting today for a week ulta has 20% off your entire purchase meaning I spent $44.54 for 7 products! That's AMAZEBALLS! Well thanks for reading pretty people! And I hope everyone is having an awesome holiday weekend! Muah!

Make those eyes POP!!!

Hey pretty people Have you ever looked at a girl and was like geeze her eyes are freaking GORGEOUS! yea well she probably had blue eyes... And you have brown... Am I right? Anyways I'm here to tell you that ANY eye color can look insane if you play them up and wear the right eyeshadow colors!

I do think from a girls point of veiw we all instantly thing blue eyes are way prettier but I have brown eyes and I have a high prescription and I'll never be able to wear colored contacts nor do I want to. So here are easy ways to make whatever eye color you have look AMAZEBALLS

just a disclaimer: most of these pictures are not of me or my client they are off my Pinterest seeing how I have 1 eye color.

Let's start with Blue eyes

For blue eyes I always recommend the opposite of the eye color which is browns. Try to stay ways from black eyeliner they tend to look way to harsh and will take away from the deep blues your going for. I say go for a deep brown eyeliner. It may come off as black but the undertones will enhance to blue pigment.

Now for the brown eyes

Brown eyes are really going to pop with burgundy shades as well as darker blacks. The coppery look with the burgundy shades are going to really bring out those gold flecks that most brown eyes have!

As well as lots of golds and burnt colors. It's going to make those beautiful brown eyes just really warm and inviting.

Those envied green eyes

Green eyes are the easiest to work with because they are so unique and can pop in just about every color but I recommend purples and plums. Again with the opposites! But really plums are amazing. If you wear brown eyeliner your eyes will pull more blueish tones and black will be greener

Stunning grey eyes

Grey eyes are the hardest because if you wear browns and stuff they will pull more blue but if you want to go for an icy cool grey look then I suggest Greys and blacks eyeshadows.

My eyes

They are more of a dark hazel. If I go with blacks and dark browns I get a really coppery eye color and if I go with more of the plums I get more green out of my eyes.

Now these are all just suggestions on what in my opinion makes certain eye colors pop. You can of course were any and every eyeshadow that your heart desires I sure do! And remember everyone's eyes are beautiful. Your eyes portray all of your inner emotion. Have a great Labor Day weekend lovies!

Blending, Buffer, Blush Brushes OH MY!

Hey pretty people! Happy hump day! As you can tell from the title this obviously all about brushes! Now I get asked all the time about what to use, how much to spend, blah, blah, blah... (Kidding! I love when people ask me questions!) Hopefully this answers all of them!

Unfortunately brushes are an area in your makeup drawer that I say you do need to spend a little extra. The good news is that you don't have to do everything at once! Starting out I bought a full kit off of amazon.com for like $40. Now by no means were these MAC like quality brushes but they got the job done and a few I still use because they rock and I love them! So for a full kit I recommend that!

Here are my recommendations for the everyday girl that won't brake the bank and will give the best bang for your buck!

What you need:
Stipping
Kabuki (buffer)
Angled powder
Dense lid
Medium blending
Beauty blender

No worries if that doesn't make sense just yet! There's no test at the end and I have pictures!

Stippling : Sigma F80

This is for foundation application. You pump the liquid on the back of your hand dab the brush in it and then in small circular motions apply to cheeks, chin, neck, forehead, then nose! This is $24 this can be used for liquid or powder foundation!

Kabuki (Buffer): Sigma F45

This cute little thing is a buffer brush! It's going to be great for applying powder all over the face buffing out any contour or adding some blush! Of course there are a multitude of other amazing brushes that can do those things too this is for that everyday girl that is looking for simple and easy this is it! The price $22.40

Dense lid brush: IB109

This brush is pretty self explanatory. It's to add all that beautiful color right to the lid of your eye! I say everyone get on good one of these. Those silly applicators that come in an eyeshadow are a joke. This is from Morphe brushes on sale for get this $1.08! I mean seriously come on with this!!!!

Blending: Sigma E40

Blending brushes are a staple in eye makeup and an ABSOLUTE MUST! They give that beautiful seamless smokey eye or blown out look as well and an easy bronzer to the eyelid because I'm running out the door look! This is also from signed for $16. Obviously I love sigma. they are MAC quality (in my opinion) brushes for a fraction of the cost.

Last but certainly not least!

The BEAUTY BLENDER!!!!!!

The beauty blender in my opinion as changed the liquid makeup game. This thing is work every friggin' penny!!!! All you do is get it wet and it more then doubles in size you dab some foundation and concealer all over your face (don't rub in just dot all over your face) and then Take your damp beauty blender and dab in quick motions all over your face and WALL-LA! Perfectly blended foundation and concealer in seconds!!!!!

I hope that this has been way helpful and makes since! I want every girl to feel pretty in their own skin. Makeup isn't to mask imperfections but to enhance beauty that's already there! Stay pretty Loveys!!
